Dubai Holding To Recruit Talented Emiratis At Careers UAE 2008
Development of UAE Nationals a Strategic Priority
Dubai Holding, along with its seven primary subsidiaries, TECOM Investments, Tatweer, Jumeirah, Dubai Properties, Sama Dubai, Dubai International Capital and Dubai Group, announced today its participation in the 8th annual Careers UAE Exhibition. Dubai Holding will showcase its diversified portfolio of companies and highlight career and training opportunities available to UAE nationals.
The country's premier recruitment, training and education exhibition will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) from April 15-17.
Fadel Al-Ali, Executive Chairman - Operations Dubai Holding said: “For Dubai Holding the development of National talent is a strategic priority that locks into our mission to create a better tomorrow. We offer challenging and rewarding careers and place great importance, across the group, on attracting and retaining the best people to develop future major projects that will benefit the UAE and the region.
”There are remarkable career opportunities within Dubai Holding for nationals who are willing to join a professional working environment through various development programmes. We believe Careers UAE is the ideal forum to identify our future leadership pipeline.”
Representatives from Dubai Holding and its seven entities will be located on one large stand in Zabeel Hall, Stand number Z-F5, at DICEC, to counsel and explore career paths, as well as collect resumes.
With the expected number of visitors to Careers UAE 2008 set to top 20,000 this year, Dubai Holding is confident that the many career opportunities it will offer will enable it to tap further into the rich pool of talented Emiratis emerging from the UAE’s universities and colleges. Last year 200 UAE Nationals started on their career path with Dubai Holding upon graduation which was a direct result of their attendance at the Careers fair.
Dubai Holding is committed to actively developing the skills of its employees. It has introduced ‘Leadon’ a programme for future leaders, which seeks to develop individuals with high potential and lay the foundation for all future talent and succession management initiatives across the company. ‘Leadon’ is benchmarked against similar programmes in global organisations such as General Electric, the multinational technology and services company, and Toyota, the world’s largest automaker by revenue. Dubai Holding has also incorporated the Emirates Nationals Development Program into its recruitment processes.
A unique platform, Careers UAE 2008 will allow talented UAE nationals, with varying qualifications, to take the first step on the career ladder or to tap into further education and training opportunities to enhance their skills.
