Dubai Internet City (DIC), the region's leading managed ICT business park and a member of TECOM Investments, today announced it is the official ICT Partner for the inaugural IT Leaders MENA Summit 2010 in Abu Dhabi.

To be held from 29-30 September at the Hilton Hotel, IT Leaders MENA Summit 2010 is part of the global IT Leaders Series hosted in strategic locations around the world including Johannesburg, Brussels and Mumbai. A premier gathering for CIOs, CFOs, CEOs and business leaders across all industries throughout the Middle East and North Africa, the event is designed for executives who seek to understand the role of technology in transforming their business.

Malek Al Malek, Managing Director, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Outsource Zone, said: “The IT Leaders MENA Summit will provide a platform for leading industry experts in the technology sector to exchange ideas and share experience on how they believe their expertise and knowledge can drive a knowledge economy.

“DIC’s strategic partnership with the summit aims to reinforce our commitment to industry programmes that will contribute towards building the region’s innovation for business success through technology.”

With the Middle East set to lead global IT spending, there is a strong need for IT leaders to align investments with their organisations’ overall business strategy. The growing pressure to share the same agenda has prompted key leaders of an enterprise such as CIOs and CFOs to discuss how best to work together for bringing added value to their business.

Cloud Computing and Virtualisation will also be prominent on the agenda - Industry professionals will discuss the challenges in the adoption of the Cloud in the Middle East and highlight key benefits for organisations that have embraced the technology.

The IT Leaders Summit ensures that attendees exchange views, ideas and experience from CIOs and business leaders who are faced with similar challenges in their daily decision-making process. The Series has already attracted the support of top international brands including IBM, Kofax, Adobe, Mahindra Satyam, Huawei Symantec, MTN Business and Compass Technologies.

A key driver for the region’s IT sector, Dubai Internet City continues to support and provide platforms for companies looking to maximize their presence and market opportunities in the Middle East.
