CyberFest 2010, the annual three-day event that brings a diverse mix of fun and variety entertainment, opened today at Dubai Internet City’s amphitheatre grounds. The fifth edition of CyberFest will run until 18 February in association with the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) and the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The opening ceremony kicked off with a Serbian dance show that entertained on-lookers as they browsed through the bazaar, organized by the Forsaty Productive Families Program. The entertainment activities will also include the Kalbelia Dance Group.

The annual extravaganza at the ICT cluster aims to cascade the DSF fervor into the free zone community and is inspired by Dubai Shopping Festival’s (DSF) theme of ‘One world. One family. One festival.’

Committed to the services and well-being of business partners at the ICT community, the Dubai Internet City, a member of TECOM Investments, currently hosts over 1,200 companies. DIC continues to grow from strength to strength playing an instrumental role in the development of the knowledge-base economy for the region.
