Reinforcing its support to the Emiratisation drive, Dubai Investments PJSC (DI), the largest investment company listed on the UAE stock exchange, will be participating in the country’s largest career fair, Careers UAE 2008 which is scheduled to take place between 15 – 17 April 2008 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.

“Dubai Investments has always keenly supported the government’s efforts to provide excellent career enhancement opportunities to talented and qualified UAE nationals,” said Khalid Kalban, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Investments. “Recent studies have indicated that of the 3.1 million employees in the UAE’s workforce, expatriate workers occupy 99 percent jobs in the private sector and 91 percent in the public sector.  These studies have also indicated that if efforts aren’t quickly intensified, UAE nationals will account for less than 8 percent of the workforce by 2009.”

“We are delighted to be a part of Careers UAE 2008, an event that provides a fantastic platform for UAE’s young talent to meet with some of the biggest organizations in the region.”

Dubai Investments stand will introduce visitors to DI and its 46 subsidiaries and various career options available within the organization. Aspiring job applicants will also receive first hand information on the internships and job opportunities which will be offered by the company.

“Established barely thirteen years ago, DI has today emerged as one of the premier investment companies in the UAE and the Middle East region. Our success is testament to the vast potential that UAE talent has to offer. We will use this opportunity to attract more UAE youth to our organization as we forge ahead towards an even brighter and more prosperous future for our nation,” Kalban concluded.
