Dubai Police Traffic Department is preparing to introduce the renewal and issuance of driving license through the internet, as part of the e-government initiative to be inaugurated on October 29th.
Abdul Rahman Fafee, Director of the Traffic Department said in a press release that the new service will enable those applying for a new driving license, or renewing an old one, to get their work done through the internet with no need to visit the department.
Preparations have already been made to initiate Internet links with centers recognized by the department to carry out eye tests for applicants, he added.
Now the results of the eye test will be available to the department immediately via Internet links, he explained.
These services will help not only the people who is inside the UAE skirts to cut down time and effort, but all can get their work done electronically no mater where they are, inside or outside the country, he said – Albawaba.com
