Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the crown prince of Dubai and the UAE's minister of defense, opened Tuesday a new annual conference called the “Strategy Forum,” that is to be held for the first time November 12-14 at the Emirates Towers Hotel, top officials said.
The Dubai Strategy Forum aims to bring together top government officials, business leaders from the private sector and other key representatives of Dubai society for three days of collective learning, thinking and strategizing.
It will focus exclusively on changes in the global economy, their possible impact on Dubai, and prospects for the future.
Mohammed Al Gargawi, the director general of the Dubai Technology, E-Commerce and Media Free Zone and chairman of the Dubai Media City, told reporters Tuesday that the forum was an exclusive gathering of some of the most prominent strategic thinkers of the world and many important personalities from Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammad will deliver the keynote speech at the first in the series, addressing the participants with his vision for Dubai, clarifying the road ahead and setting new goals and expectations.
According to the Emirates’ official news agency (WAM), more than 15 leading experts in the fields of economy, business, management, innovation, technology, society and culture will address the forum and share their knowledge, experience and insights on issues affecting and shaping the world – Albawaba.com
