Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2001 has extended the deadline for receiving entries for the Ideal Arab Mother Award and the Ideal Family Award to January 25th, 2001, following requests from applicants across the globe, Khaleej Times reported Saturday.
According to the paper, there has been an overwhelming response from Arab people living in non-Arab countries and many of them have requested more time to complete the procedures, in addition to the response from Arab countries in the region.
All participants in the Ideal Arab Mother and the Ideal Arab Family competition have to write a personal account of their achievements or uniqueness in an essay of less than five pages. Nominations can also be made by third parties, as each winning participant will receive $10,000 -- Albawaba.com
