With just days for the 13th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) to begin, around forty of the city's top spas have come up with irresistible offers of up to 50% off on a wide range of spa treatments and therapies, as part of the highly successful 'DSS Spa Packages', an initiative of the Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE) that aims to showcase Dubai's leading position as the spa hub of the Middle East.
"The 'DSS Spa Packages' is a pioneering initiative by DEPE to bring the best of Dubai's spas together and give DSS visitors and UAE residents the ideal opportunity to indulge in spas. We see this endeavour as an extension of DSS's core attributes of shopping, winning, and family entertainment, where the spas represent the lifestyle of Dubai and summer relaxation," said DEPE in a statement.
DEPE also stated that this year's participation of around 40 spas was the result of concerted efforts by DEPE, including a meeting organised by the Establishment where representatives of spas from across Dubai gathered to discuss the packages and promotions. "We discussed standards and quality practices during the meeting to ensure that DSS visitors were offered spectacular discounts on highly-rated therapies," it added.
Spa enthusiasts can expect to enjoy amazing discounts, two-for-one offers and pampering complimentary extras on a number of treatments and therapies including body scrubs, rasul mud baths, reflexology sessions, ayurveda treatments, Moroccan baths, Swedish and Thai massages, beautifying and detoxifying treatments, and numerous other specialised therapies catering to men and women.
A distinctive feature of this year's 'Spa Packages' is the special emphasis on men's spas, with several of the city's finest offering anti-fatigue massages and salon grooming packages specially created for men. A greater emphasis on catering to different visitor segments and widening accessibility directed the decision to pick spas spread out all across the city, thus making it easier for residents and tourists to take advantage of the fabulous offers at spas located near their homes or hotels.
DSS 2010 runs from June 17 to August 7 for 52 days, with shopping promotions in over 6000 retail outlets and entertainment events across shopping malls in Dubai.
