The Dubai Transport Corporation has began a new service offering the city's residents and visitors taxi transport services from its main station in Bur Dubai to Jebel Ali and Abu Dhabi.
Mohammed Obaid Al Mulla, Director-General Dubai Transport Corporation said that the new service would cost Dh15 to Jebel Ali and Dh50 to Abu Dhabi, according to Khaleej Times.
"We will run the new service on a trial basis for the time being to evaluate the service before making a final decision on its viability," he expressed.
Al Mulla conveyed that the corporation had decided to introduce the private taxi service to help ease the road congestion on Shaikh Zayed road and offer people working in the Jebel Ali area a convenient and fast transport system, especially since many of them travel on a daily basis in order to get to work.
