Dubai Natural Gas Company (DUGAS) today confirmed its ongoing support for the British University in Dubai (BUiD) and its advanced programme of research and development in the region.
DUGAS announced that it will fund a series of special DUGAS scholarships for national students, accounting for 50 percent of total tuitions fees for Masters Degrees courses.
This will run alongside the company’s ongoing support for BUiD, which is part of the company’s extensive corporate social responsibility policy.
H.E. Mirza Al Sayegh, Chairman of DUGAS said, “DUGAS values highly the opportunity to be associated with the British University in Dubai and to support highly motivated nationals to benefit from its programmes.  The BUiD programmes will equip these people with the skills they need to advance quickly in their career and DUGAS looks forward to encouraging them.”

In response, David Lock, Registrar and Acting Chief Executive of BUiD said: “BUiD is delighted by the decision of DUGAS to award these scholarships.  They will enable well qualified and able national students to benefit from BUiD’s programmes.

“It is through the active support of good companies like DUGAS that BUiD has been able to offer high quality and relevant Masters Programmes, which are attracting strong applicants.  BUiD looks forward to working with DUGAS to ensure that its scholars receive a top class educational experience that will serve them well.”
