Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has held an awards ceremony to acknowledge and appreciate the co-operation extended by various government and private establishments, who contributed significantly towards ensuring the success of events held at DWTC venues.

At a function held at the World Trade Club attended by the DWTC senior management, 82 personnel from Dubai Police General HQ, Dubai Police Traffic Department, Dubai Police Ambulance wing, Dubai Airport, Road and Transport Authority, taxi companies, Dubailand, and the Department of Islamic Affairs, were presented with certificates and tokens of appreciation for their contributions.

Welcoming the awardees, DWTC Director General Helal Saeed Almarri thanked the gathering and underlined the significance of their contributions.

DWTC Senior Vice President Protocol and Security, Abdulrahman Obaid commented that it was the active co-operation between the various arms of the government and the private sector that has spurred the growth of the MICE industry in Dubai to its current stature.

“With over 108 events held at our venues last year that attracted over 1 million business visitors, it was the constant interaction and communication between our partners that has enabled us to work together and provide our exhibitors and visitors an outstanding customer experience,” he said.
