Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the region’s leading venue operator and event’s organiser, yesterday met with a delegation of top American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) as part of US-Dubai 2010: Executive Business Leaders Mission to Dubai, a five-day orientation programme organised by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
As a first of its kind initiative, the visit is seen as an opportunity to enhance trade ties between the trading communities and to boost US investments in Dubai by re-affirming the status of the Emirate as a popular investment destination for American businessmen.
As the pioneer establishment for trade within the region and operator of the largest exhibition and events venue in the Middle East with over one million square feet of covered exhibition space, DWTC hosted the delegation on a tour of its world class venues and presented them its recently completed world class extension, Sheikh Saeed Halls. The two groups discussed the crucial role that DWTC plays in supporting the growth of the region’s business events and exhibitions sector while experiencing the news halls firsthand. In addition, DWTC provided the delegation with a sneak preview of the Middle East’s largest indoor multi-purpose hall - ‘Trade Centre Arena’ - over 9,000 square metres of covered exhibition space equivalent to 34 regulation size tennis courts and capable of hosting a variety of events for up to 12,000 guests.
The visit ended with a tour of the impressive World Trade Club at the World Trade Centre Tower where the group enjoyed uninterrupted 360 degree views of the city and continued discussions around the various innovations that will continue to attract some of the world’s most prominent business groups to Dubai.

Buamim added that Dubai provides an ideal investment destination for American business in various sectors especially in trade, logistics and financial services and as part of its strategic objective of promoting Dubai as an international business hub, Dubai Chamber looks forward to build new business alliances and highlight Dubai’s investment opportunities to the representatives of hundreds and thousands of American companies.
The US-Dubai 2010: Executive Business Leaders Mission to Dubai is an initiative organized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry with the objective of boosting trade ties between Dubai and the US and to reaffirm Dubai's position as a popular investment destination for American businesses and the gateway for regional business. The visiting delegation comprises of 45 top officials of major American chambers, collectively representing thousands of US businesses.
