EastNets has announced its upcoming participation in the first Middle East International Banking, Financial Technology and Services Exhibition and Conference (MEFX) to be held from June 01 to 03, 2008, at the Sheikh Rashid Hall (booth C2-3), Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai, UAE.
EastNets, the official Middle Eastern partner of the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), will feature its EastNets Service Bureau (en.SB) automated matching service, subsidiary SIDE International’s renowned SafeWatch Anti-Money Laundering software, and Microsoft-certified electronic Identity Management solutions along with other products and services during MEFX 2008, in a move to strengthen its presence globally.
“MEFX 2008 provides us with the perfect platform to showcase our full product portfolio, starting with our highly-acclaimed Service Bureau. It also serves as a venue for us to extend our global presence, especially in the booming Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region; we are eager to interact with our current partners and customers in the area and hopefully attract more clients to our superior products during the Conference, especially as it will be attended by various executives from the financial sector,” said Hazem Mulhim, Chief Executive Officer, EastNets.
MEFX is a trade-only event organised by Dubai International Financial Centre in association with Dubai World Trade Centre, targeting executives from financial institutions such as banks, stock exchanges, investment and brokerage houses, and corporations. The event will feature banking products, financial technology, and professional services for the finance industry, and is expected to emerge as the region’s largest banking and finance trade conference and exhibition.
“More than a third of the Gulf’s top 100 banks are either poised to upgrade or are already upgrading their core banking systems, with average spending expected at AED 128.5 million. Other financial institutions throughout MEASA and the world are considering similar actions due to the rapid growth and evolution of international financial service networks and infrastructure. Transaction security and integrity will be key considerations for these system enhancements; EastNets offers industry tried and tested methods to ensure that their businesses remain protected and productive,” added Mulhim.
EastNets has built a solid global customer base and formed various strategic alliances to provide a wide range of payment and security solutions for various government and financial service organizations. The solutions provider currently markets its products and services globally through its 15 offices around the world including New York, Brussels, Dubai, and offers services to countries such as Japan through channel partners; it also offers comprehensive outsourcing services via its Service Bureau network.
