The British Economist Group, a global leader in the communication field, announced the opening its regional representative office in Beirut under the administration of the “Alef Publishing and Media Company”. This Beirut office will manage the business in five countries: Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine and Iraq.
This strategic move comes within the implementation of a worldwide initiative launched by the Economist to restructure the group through all of the regional sites in the world, taking their products and services closer to customers and markets.
David Taylor-Evans, The Economist Group’s Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, declared that he was pleased to open a regional representative office of the group in Beirut. He pointed out that a similar step can strengthen the Group's activities in Lebanon and the region.
Evans said: “We are proud to partner with Alef Publishing and Media, which is supporting our efforts to achieve the growth that we aim at in the region as well as numerous other activities."
Rabih El-Amine, CEO of Alef Publishing and Media, paid tribute to the relationship between his company and the magazine, taking into account that the Economist is one of the most noble and credible business and political magazines in the world. As the official representative of The Economist Group, Alef Publishing and Media will market the advertising in The Economist - a weekly newspaper, the Intelligent Life - a quarterly magazine, The World In. annual thought leadership publication, in addition to the White Pages to sponsoring and promoting Economist conferences Researches.
The office in Beirut is located at 6th Floor of Borj Al Ghazal - Tabaris, Achrafieh.
