Egypt’s President receives message from Kuwaiti Amir

Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak received a hand written letter on Monday from Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah on the current situation in the Palestinian territories as well as bilateral relations.  

 

Kuwaiti Minister of state for foreign affairs Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah delivered the letter in the course of a meeting with President Mubarak.  

 

The meeting dealt with the latest developments in the region and ways to implement the Security Council resolutions, which call for an immediate Israeli withdrawal from the Palestinian lands.  

 

The two sides also reviewed means to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields.  

 

The meeting was attended by Kuwait's charge d'affaires in Cairo Abdulrahman al-Otaibi and director of the minister's bureau, deputy minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser al-Mohammed, according to Kuwait News Agency. 

 

On his arrival Sunday, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that his visit to Egypt would concentrate on implementing the Beirut summit's decision with regards to the Israeli-Arab conflict and the situation between Kuwait and Iraq. 

 

Later, Sheikh Mohammed is scheduled to depart for Morocco to carry out a similar mission. During his stay in Morocco, the minister is due to meet with the Saudi Crown Prince and deputy Prime Minister Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who is currently on a visit to Morocco. (Albawaba.com)
