ALBAWABA - Egyptian security sources announced on Sunday evening that two Israeli citizens were placed in jail in Egypt over an attack on hotel workers in Taba city.
According to Egyptian media, the two Israelis are charged with "assault, display of force, causing panic and fear among citizens, assault and destruction."
A brawl erupted on Friday between Egyptian hotel workers and Arab Israelis leaving three tourists and two Egyptian hotel workers injured. The Egyptian Cairo News Channel said one of the workers suffered serious injuries, including a fractured skull and cuts.
Media outlets reported that the fight started when an Arab Israeli tourist verbally insulted an Egyptian hotel worker, leading to a brawl involving other tourists and workers. Others revealed that the attack began after the tourists refused to pay for services provided by the hotel.
Israeli news outlets shared multiple videos from the Taba hotel where the fight was held, with spots of blood can be seen on the ground.
