Egyptian Foreign Minister, Ahmad Abul Gheit said Sunday that he asked his Israeli counterpart Silvan Shalom to avoid the reoccurrence of the border incident, in which three Egyptian policemen were killed by Israeli soldiers on the Egypt-Gaza border.
The Egyptian Middle East News Agency quoted Abul Gheit as saying Cairo would not accept the reoccurrence of such an incident.
The top diplomat added that the manner in which Israeli troops act on the Egyptian border and in the occupied Palestinian territories indicate that the fingers of those soldiers are on the trigger and therefore he expected this kind of incident.
He said that he had informed Shalom of this and that Israeli leaders and soldiers with a greater degree of discipline must be picked so that they don't open fire randomly and hit others, leading to the complication of relations with Egypt. (Albawaba.com)
