Switzerland has returned to the North African country of Egypt four stolen artifacts, an official from the Egyptian Higher Council of Antiquities said Monday.
The artifacts have been placed temporarily in the Egyptian Museum and will later be returned to their original locations, Sabri Abdul Aziz said.
One of the pieces is an incomplete statue of a woman, stolen in 1995 from Montou Temple in Karnak, situated in the southern part of Egypt, the head of the council Zahi Hawas said, cited by AFP.
The three others are reliefs from large burial sites, one of them stolen in the year 1972 from north of Saqqara, near the capital city of Cairo, and dates back to the fifth dynasty.(Albawaba.com)
