Hamas responded Tuesday to Egypt’s new ban on the Islamic group’s activities. Bassem Naim, a senior official in Hamas, was displeased, saying the decision serves Israel.
"Any decision such as this is an attempt to besiege the resistance, and serves the Israeli occupation," Naim told AFP.
Egypt’s government announced Tuesday that a Cairo court passed a ban on all Hamas activity in Egypt.
