A policeman and a gunman were killed when clashes erupted between security forces and armed men in Suez on Sunday, security sources said.
Two gunmen fired at police and army personnel before fleeing, the sources told Aswat Masriya. Security forces were able to kill one of them, the sources added.
An army conscript was also injured in the clashes.
Violence has escalated in Egypt following the military ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi in July 2013, after mass protests against his rule. Most attacks target security forces.
