Egypt’s Arab Manufacturing Authority has chosen July 11 to roll out its first set of A-8 advanced training aircraft, which it has manufactured in collaboration with China, reported Al Gomhuria Arabic daily.
The authority says the new trainer is characterized by “the most advanced international aviation technology,” blending Western and Eastern know-how.
The aircraft’s engine was developed by the American company Allied Signal, says the authority, and the communications systems were developed by the Italian company Palmer.
The trainer’s two ejection seats were produced by the US company Marten Baker – Albawaba.com
