Egypt has freed three Islamist detainees who have agreed to stop anti-government violence, reported Al Jazeera satellite channel.
The station identified the three Islamist leaders as Hamdi Abdul Rahman and Ismail Baqel from the banned Al Gamaa Al Islamiyya and Saleh Gaheen from the Islamic Jihad.
Islamist militants are blamed for attacks on Egyptian officials, intellectuals and security personnel, and tourists – Albawaba.com
