Thanks to a team of Egyptian doctors, a young Egyptian girl may survive being struck in the head by a bullet while playing at a wedding party where one of the guests shot in the air to express his delight.

A team of Egyptian neurosurgeons has successfully removed a bullet from the brain of the 10-year-old girl in the Egyptian city of Al Mansourah, according to the daily Al Ahram.

The girl was struck by a stray bullet that settled in her cerebellum, the most sensitive area of the brain, where the nerve cell network and vital body centers are found.

The surgeons opened a small hole in the back of the girl’s skull and introduced a telescope connected to a TV circuit to follow the extraction process without affecting the surrounding cells, in order to prevent her from going into a coma or suffering any handicaps after the surgery – Albawaba.com
