Egyptian First Lady Suzanne Mubarak on Saturday presided over a meeting of a committee that is laying the groundwork for an extraordinary Arab Women’s Summit.
The Cairo summit will run November 11-12, with the attendance of representatives from various Arab member states.
On Sunday, the first lady inaugurated a service complex in Alexandria aimed at meeting the cultural and health needs of the general public.
The complex contains a two libraries full of religious and general culture books, as well as a computer section for local students. It also features a literacy campaign section and a kindergarten.
