Egypt on Wednesday strongly condemned the deadly bombing attack against UN headquarters in Baghdad that killed 24 people, and the suicide attack in the centere of Jerusalem Tuesday night which killed 20 people and injured more than 130 others, KUNA reported.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmad Maher said, "Egypt denounces this criminal act which targeted people in charge of a humanitarian mission and an organization which is trying to help the Iraqi people become masters of their own destiny."

Maher voiced hope that the attack "will not discourage the UN from pursuing its mission in helping the Iraqi people" to set up a new government.

On the bus attack in Jerusalem, Maher said "we should put an end to what is happening to the Palestinians and Israelis by a peaceful compromise to end Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people," Maher stated. (Albawaba.com)
