Egyptian FM Lays Groundwork for Arab Foreign Ministers’ Meeting

Egyptian Foreign Minster Ahmed Maher spoke by phone on Monday with Lebanese Foreign Minister Mahmoud Hammoud and Palestinian Minister of Local Administration and senior negotiator Saeb Eraikat. 

Maher said they discussed the upcoming Arab foreign ministers’ meeting and the current crisis in the region. 

The Arab foreign ministers will hold an emergency meeting at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo on Wednesday at the request of Palestine. The meeting will address developments in the Palestinian occupied territories and Israeli actions including the demolition of houses, assassinations, sieges, invasion of lands under PA control, and the seizure of Palestinian establishments in occupied Jerusalem, particularly Orient House, the informal headquarters of the Palestine Liberation Organization – Albawaba.com
