An Egyptian husband from the southern Egypt province of Sohag has confessed to police that he had killed his wife with a kitchen knife after she slammed him on the face during an agreement.
The man collapsed after investigators faced him with evidence of his murder, said Al Gomhuria Arabic daily on Saturday.
According to the man, on the day of the crime he arrived home just before Ramadan Iftar meal to find that his only son was crying. When he asked the mother to pacify the toddler, she slammed the baby on the face shouting at him, “you will become an idiot, just like your father.”
The parents got in an argument during which the mother slammed her husband on the face, he said.
“I didn’t know what I was doing. All I remember is that I stabbed her with a kitchen knife which was beside me.” – Albawaba.com
