The joint Egyptian-Libyan committee convenes Tuesday in Tripoli for talks on bolstering bilateral ties in all fields especially in politics and economy, reported Al Ahram daily.

The committee will be co-chaired by Egypt’s Prime Minister Atef Ebied and Libya’s Secretary-General of the General Public Committee Embarak Shamekh.

Egypt’s Planning Minister Ahmed Darsh told reporters on Monday that “talks between the two sides will further strengthen solid relations between President Hosni Mubarak and leader Moammer Kadhafi.”

Darsh added that Egypt and Libya will witness in the near future more cooperation in the fields of economy, fisheries, oil and gas, and construction.
