Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak arrived on Tuesday in Germany, beginning a two-day visit expected to deal with efforts aimed at resolving the Iraqi crisis peacefully.
Mubarak, whose visit is in response to an invitation extended by Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, is due to hold talks with German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer and Development Aid Minister Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul, KUNA news agency reported.
According to officials, talks between Mubarak and German officials are expected to focus on the Iraqi crisis, current conditions in the Middle East and bilateral relations.
The Egyptian leader is scheduled to head on to France following his visit to Germany.
Mubarak is accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, which includes Information Minister Safwat El-Sherif, Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher and Political Adviser Osama El-Baz. (Albawaba.com)
