Ahly soccer team are about to close the curtain tonight on Egypt's premier league championship, three weeks before the official date, as they head their traditional competitors Zamalek who tail in the second place with 9 points, excluding each of tonight's matches.

Ahly, the champions who broke Egypt's record and held the title for 5 years are in dire need of victory over their rivals Ma'adin tonight.

A victory will extend Ahly's rainbow scoreboard to 57 points, heading Zamalek with 12 points, but Zamalek can bring down Ahly's leading points to 9 points again if they beat Mansoura and revive their slim title hopes once again.

Zamalek stand a very unique and almost impossible chance of clinching the title as they need to win the three remaining matches beside tonight's. But, that's not all, as they need to see Ahly the giant stars losing all their matches, which sounds totally impossible.

But, if the tradition rivals draw or lose their match with Mansoura, then Ahly will certainly celebrate their 6th consecutive title - Albawaba.com
