EHS participating in WETEX 2008

Regulatory body to promote water and energy conservation efforts

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), the regulatory arm of Trakhees - Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC), has announced that it will participate in the 10th Water and Energy Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2008). Several national and international companies, ministries, municipalities, other governmental authorities and public utility societies are also taking part in the exhibition.

WETEX 2008 will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, at Dubai Convention and Exhibition Centre from March 11-13. It is organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

EHS’s participation in this event reflects its commitment to provide most effective solutions and educational tools through presenting a wide range of technologies related to environmental protection. It will also use the exhibition to shed light on its environment-friendly green buildings project.

Design renderings of EHS green buildings project will be shown in the exhibition. The aim is to ensure mandatory application of the main elements of sustainable development, such as environmental protection and improving water and energy conservation efforts in the projects. The regulatory body also wants to highlight the fact that these projects will meet all the requirements of the region to ensure a more sustainable future.

EHS will also exhibit publications and flyers that deal with the purification of water for mass consumption and terms and conditions for water treatment companies. Educational materials on water purification will be distributed.

EHS is keen to step up the campaign for water and energy management and environmental protection. It is confident that WETEX 2008 will be a significant platform to spread this message. The exhibition provides the right opportunity for national and international companies and service providers to exhibit their products and services in front of the decision makers in ministries, municipalities, water and electricity authorities and other government agencies.

WETEX 2008 has attracted major national and international companies specialising in water and energy technology and environment-related areas. Exhibits include agricultural equipment, desalination and modern irrigation systems, water pumps, boilers, cables, transformers, connectors and energy rationalisation products.

The exhibition presents an opportunity for decision makers in government departments in the country and in the region to study these products and meet the manufacturers and agents from all over the world.

WETEX 2008 is also an excellent venue for pioneering companies in the field of water, electricity and environment to promote their products and present solutions to the problems that the sector faces. They will be adding to the exhibition's contribution to develop efficient strategies and make use of modern technologies in the management of water and electricity resources and the conservation of the environment.
