Fireworks, traditional music, heritage zone, and a fun fair to mark ‘Eid in Dubai’ celebrations at Dubai Festival City
Dubai Festival City, a key sponsor of this year’s ‘Eid in Dubai’, will once again host the Eid Celebration District for three days of Eid Al Fitr with an array of events and activities for residents and visitors to celebrate the occasion. A popular venue during the inaugural edition of ‘Eid in Dubai’ in 2008, the Eid Celebration District is slated to attract crowds this year as well with a combination of family oriented cultural events and programmes that cater to visitors of all ages.
Yousif Mubarak, Chief Operations Officer of DSF Office said, “The Eid Celebration District was designed to be a venue by itself by combining events and activities to provide a unique experience for ‘Eid in Dubai’ visitors. Extra emphasis has been laid to organize family-oriented activities so that regardless of age, every visitor will enjoy the experience.”
Fuwallat-Al-Eid and Diyafat-Al-Eid
As part of extending the Arabian hospitality and highlighting the Emarati traditions while celebrating Eid, visitors to the Eid Celebration District will be welcomed with coffee, dates, and sweets - a custom that is line with the Arab tradition of honouring guests.
Rides and Games Zone
The Rides and Games Zone will be the ultimate play area for families and children. Featuring numerous electronic games, rides, and popular redemption games, entry fee into the venue will be nominal.
Heritage Zone
Specially organized to present traditional events held during Eid, the Heritage Zone will incorporate all the elements of a traditional Eid celebration through exhibits, cuisine, and music.
Fireworks and laser show
Dubai’s residents and visitors will have yet another opportunity to see dazzling fireworks during Eid in Dubai with the Dubai Festival City waterfront providing for a picturesque background of spectacular non-stop fireworks for three days of Eid Al Fitr. The fireworks will begin at 8:30pm.
Solo Musicians
Spread around Dubai Festival City, solo musicians will play a variety of music from numerous countries to emphasize on the cultural diversity of ‘Eid in Dubai’.
Arabic Music Bands
Lending a Middle Eastern touch to the festivities, the Arabic Music Bands will have musicians from all across the region play music of specific countries and regions. The groups will also perform special Eid music for visitors to Dubai Festival City.
