Eight people were injured on Friday in an automobile accident on the Sidon-Beirut highway, reported the Daily Star newspaper.
Army Captain Ali Ibrahim Alawieh hit Ali Wehbi’s car, who was driving against traffic.
Alawieh, Wehbi, Abdel-Amir Ibrahim, Ahmed Duweik, Farah Dweik, Ali Dweik, Youssef Suheil and Wafaa Alawieh all suffered mild injuries and were transported to the Hammoud Hospital in Sidon for treatment.
According to the hospital’s emergency ward physician Jamil Bayram, drivers and front-seat passengers did not sustain serious injuries and escaped death because they used their seatbelts – Albawaba.com
