An elderly Palestinian man was killed Monday in the West Bank city of Qalqilya when a "vengeful" Jewish settler ran him over, while armed Palestinians killed a Jewish settler and wounded another in a shooting attack in Nablus.
The Palestinian news agency, WAFA, said that the settler deliberately hit Ahmed Mahmoud Ali, 81, with his car as the victim was crossing the Qalqilya-Nablus main road.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation troops arrested a Palestinian preventive security official in Qalqilya, said WAFA.
As'ad Hamdan was on his way to Nablus when a number of Israeli soldiers arrested him, said the agency.
According to Israel Army Radio, Hamdan is "accused of taking part in terrorist activity against Israel."

Jewish author Noam Chomsky, who according to a New York Times Book Review article is “arguably the most important intellectual alive,” has been quoted as saying: “State terrorism is an extreme form of terrorism, generally much worse than individual terrorism because it has the resources of a state behind it.” - Albawaba.com
