Deputy Mayor of The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), Engineer ‘Amer Al Basheer, patronized the conclusion of the Electronic Archive Course conducted by the Arab Forum for IT at Al Hussein Cultural Center.
Thirty participants representing ten local municipalities and various governmental agencies joined the one- week course.
The course included topics such as: filing and archiving documents, classification of documents and files in accordance with modern techniques, transformation towards electronic filing and archiving, techniques of exchanging electronic documents through the local network, filing and archiving of incoming and outgoing (transactions), and image archiving. The course also witnessed the review of models, practical applications, and experiences of successful electronic archiving systems.
The Executive Director of the Arab Forum for IT, Engineer Jameel Al ‘Amleh, said that conducting the course comes to emphasize the importance of electronic archiving in institutions and municipalities for their role in helping develop the operations of such institutions in regard to maintaining the documents against wear, tear, and loss, in addition to creating prompt accessibility to them whenever the need may arise.
He pointed out that electronic archiving is considered to be an important application of electronic services, which became a reflection of the advancement and development of the service institutions.
In closing, Engineer Al Basheer handed over certificates to the graduates.
