Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah underwent "a successful minor eye surgery," on Monday, the KUNA news agency reported. Sheikh Jaber was discharged from hospital in good health following the operation, KUNA said, quoting a palace statement that did not provide any further details.
The Emir also underwent eye surgery in March when he had a cataract removed. The Emir, aged 73, who has ruled for 24 years, returned to Kuwait in January after nearly four months of treatment and convalescence in Britain for a minor brain hemorrhage. (Albawaba.com)
