Emirates announces sponsorship of DSF 2010

Emirates airline has announced its support for the upcoming 15th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival as a key sponsor. The airline is one of the region’s business giants to have sponsored DSF since its first edition in 1996. DSF 2010 will begin on January 28 and go on for 32 days until February 28.

Ahmed Khoory, Emirates’ Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Iran said, “Emirates has been a leading sponsor of the Dubai Shopping Festival since the event’s inception. Throughout the years, DSF has gone from strength to strength gaining increased global recognition to become one of the world’s premier shopping events. Thousands of international visitors flock to Dubai each year to partake in the shopping and leisure festivities, bringing in millions of Dirhams in revenue to the emirate.”

Over the past 14 editions of DSF, Emirates has launched innovative travel initiatives and packages to enable tourists from across the world to come to Dubai and experience DSF. These initiatives go hand in hand with DSF’s aim of promoting Dubai as a leading global destination. 

More than 150 international and regional events are expected to be showcased during the 15th edition of DSF including concerts, shows, and musicals. This is in addition to the participation of over 6000 retail outlets and around 50 malls that will put out spectacular shopping promotions during the 32 days of DSF 2010.
