Emirates Gas, a subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), has introduced an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective solution to metal cutting by offering Cutting Edge Gas, ideal for metal working applications.
Traditionally, metal cutting has been done using Acetylene, which is more expensive. Cutting Edge Gas, which is used for cutting, heating, brazing and gouging applications, is about 30 per cent cheaper, lasts longer, reduces handling costs and is environmentally-friendly and safer than Acetylene.
“Cutting Edge Gas comes as an environmentally-friendlier and safer alternative to Acetylene which is usually used to cut industrial metals. Cutting Edge Gas not only addresses environmental challenges and contributes to sustainable development practices, it is also more economical, thus optimizing resource efficiency by industries,” said Hesham Ali Mustafa, General Manager, Emirates Gas.
Cutting Edge Gas was showcased recently at SteelFab 2010, the largest exhibition of its kind in the Middle East and Africa, which offers a wide range of machinery and equipment in metal working, metal manufacturing and steel fabrication to specialised segments in the industry. At the event, Emirates Gas received positive response from traders and customers for the superior performance of Cutting Edge Gas.
“Cutting Edge Gas is our first venture in the fabrication industry, and has been well received by the trade. The product has also opened doors for us within various growing industries, which further complements our growth strategy,” added Ali Mustafa.
Emirates Gas is the market leader in the UAE for LP Gas, Propane and Aerosol propellants.
