new menu options, chef Andrea Montella has said.
''Cooking is an art that needs gifted talents and skills as well as an epicurean sense and that is why I came to Emirates Palace to offer a new creative cuisine through the award winning "Mezzaluna" .
I am crafting a new delicious menu of Italian food which will be offered to the hotel guests after the month of Ramadan in the sensational and unique ambiance of Mezzaluna'' , he said.
''I will dedicate my long rich experience of 30 years in New York, London, Paris, Brazil, Thailand, Middle East and Italy to make the Emirates Palace the best provider of Italian food and deliver the very highest standards of culinary expertise and service,''he added.
''The appeal of Italian food lies in its simplicity, high quality and healthy ingredients of tomato, fresh vegetables, olive oil, wheat, eggplant which make the dish more balanced and satisfy the body’s needs,''he explained.
He ruled out that natural Italian pastries could cause diabetes. They are made up of items that are useful for a well balanced healthy diet especially the olive oil and tomato. We need about 120g of carbohydrate daily to keep the average body fit and healthy.
The capital’s first premier gourmet event - Gourmet Abu Dhabi - organised by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) has carved a prominent place for Abu Dhabi on the world tourism map, Montella said.
''Hosting such star-studded world-class events will help reinforce the UAE capital’s growing reputation as a vibrant destination by leveraging its gastronomic strengths and opening up new doors for inflow of visitors to the emirate throughout the year,'' the celebrity chef said.
The Emirates Palace will maintain a strong presence in the next edition of the Gourmet Abu Dhabi given its leading role in the UAE hospital industry,''the famous chef added.
