Emirates to Send Urgent Drought Aid to Ethiopia

United Arab Emirates' Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed al-Maktum has ordered urgent humanitarian aid sent to Ethiopia for drought victims there, the news agency WAM reported Friday. 

The aid is made up of food, medicines and baby milk and will be sent by plane from Sunday on the recommendation of the UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Maktum bin Rashed al-Maktum. 

An official UAE delegation will go to Addis Ababa Saturday to see that the aid gets to where it should, along with the Ethiopian authorities and international humanitarian organizations -- DUBAI (AFP).
