Empost, the UAE’s national courier company, has signed an agreement with the General Directorate of Naturalization and Residence of Al Ain to deliver processed passports and other visa and immigration-related documents to clients through its ‘Jawaz’ service. ‘Jawaz’ is an express courier service that collects and delivers passports directly to the customer’s home or office.

Customers of the Department can also opt for ‘Ameel’, a complete PRO service where Empost will collect applications from the public, submit the same to the Immigration Department, and deliver processed transactions to the customer. The documents will be delivered to the customer within 48 hours, with express transactions taking just 24 hours.

Empost’s agreement with the General Directorate of Naturalization and Residence of Al Ain to provide ‘Ameel’ and ‘Jawaz’ services follows a similar agreement with the General Directorate of Naturalization and Residence to provide these services in Abu Dhabi.

Sultan Al Midfa, CEO and General Manager of Empost, said, “The introduction of ‘Jawaz’ and ‘Ameel’ will greatly benefit both the Al Ain Immigration Department and the general public. These innovative services spare customers the trouble of having to personally attend to the time-consuming tasks normally associated with the application and collection of their various documents, while allowing the Immigration Department to focus on their core business objectives.”

“Empost is constantly looking to introduce innovative services that cater to the specific requirements of various business and societal segments. We have been actively seeking to partner with government departments and private and public sector companies, and at the same time have been focused on widening the reach of our services,” Al Midfa added.

H.E. Brigadier Mohammed Salem Bin Owaida Al Khaili, Director General of Naturalization and Residence , said, “We have been looking for innovative means to improve the quality of services provided to customers, and the agreement with Empost represents a significant step forward in this regard. By availing Empost’s express courier services, our customers can avoid making repeat visits to the Immigration Department for follow-up of their applications and collection of processed documents, as Empost will deliver all completed transactions directly to the customer.”

In addition to ’Jawaz’ and ‘Ameel’, Empost offers a wide range of courier services that cater to specific segments of the society, such as ‘EziPack’, Health Pack, ‘LiteDox’, ‘EmDirect’ and ‘EziMail’. Empost has more than 80 stores in the UAE offering a comprehensive range of courier and postal services, including stationary, stamps and gifts.

Empost was established in May 1997 to fill a gap in express courier services in the UAE. Over time, Empost has evolved into a diverse service organisation with an effective international distribution network and infrastructure. It has a domestic fleet of over 400 vehicles and specialised staff offering personalised professional services.
Some of many Empost products include Ezimail post office box clearance service; Mandoub comprehensive government PRO services; Empost Stores all over the UAE that provide access to Empost Courier services as well as postal and stationery products; and Empost Direct which is a range of specially-tailored direct mail marketing services.
