enoc launches environmental campaign for employees
ENOC recently launched “Being Ozone-Friendly”, an initiative conducted by its Group Environment, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) Compliance Department, aimed at increasing environmental awareness within its employees.
As part of the campaign, ENOC held a competition for employees wherein participants were asked to view a presentation on the preservation of the ozone layer each week for a period of two weeks, and subsequently answer a quiz on the third week.
More than 50 winners were presented with certificates and gifts by Hussain Sultan, ENOC Group Chief Executive, at an award ceremony. The top three winners were Khulood Khalifa Saif Salem Al Sawad Al Nuaimi, Nasser Ali Haider, and Shafeeq Ahmed Khan. Emirates Gas was also bestowed a special award for being the most effective operating company under the ENOC Group in terms of participation in the campaign.
During the ceremony, Sultan said, “As a socially-responsible organisation, we take concrete steps to create valued awareness about environmental issues. This campaign has been helpful not only in engaging our staff, but in making them aware about the part they play in damaging or protecting the environment.”
