Epson launches dust and smoke proof high performance projector in Middle East
The Epson EMP-6110 brings high brightness and feature rich performance to business users operating in difficult environments
Epson has announced the Middle East launch of its new EMP-6110 projector engineered to provide outstanding audio-visual quality combined with unrivalled durability. The robust EMP-6110 is designed to perform completely unhindered in large, dusty and even smoke-clouded environments, utilising the unique Epson filtration technology.
Incorporating Epson’s patented 3LCD technology and a high-brightness 3500 ANSI lumens lamp, the new projector offers excellent picture quality in any light conditions and in even the largest environments. The EMP-6110 boasts an unparalleled lamp-life expectancy of 3500 hours in high-brightness mode, ensuring the product is both easy and economical to maintain. The unit’s capacity to function unimpaired within harsh AV environments – including areas with a high density of airborne particles – derives from an Epson’s unique, cleanable electrostatically charged air filter that is easily removed, cleaned and replaced without the need for specialist skills or removing the unit from its ceiling-mount.
The EMP-6110 has been designed to make necessary maintenance as easy as possible. The removable filter can be cleaned by simply removing it and tapping it with a vacuum cleaner. Epson’s exclusive on-screen cleaning notification function is capable of sensing a clogged filter in advance so as to avoid any damage or downtime caused by poor maintenance. Remote monitoring and diagnostic assessment is made possible thanks to the Epson EMP Monitor software included with every EMP-6110. The software enables users to configure and monitor the projector over a computer network from any work station and even set up automatic email alerts to notify users of the projector’s internal temperature.
Ecological and environmental advantages are also a major feature of the new projector. Already an energy-efficient unit, the projector also has an economy mode in which lamp-life increases to 4000 hours, reducing both lamp replacement costs and the EMP-6110’s impact on the environment. Every EMP-6110 also comes complete with a free of charge TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) pack, which includes a ceiling mount kit, a spare lamp and a spare dust filter. This provides users with everything required for long-term, trouble free, operation.
The EMP-6110 is a native XGA resolution model at 1024 x 768 resolution and also supports resolution ranging from VGA to UXGA. The projector also includes an in-built 5W speaker, meaning multimedia presentations containing sound have no requirement for external speakers or sound systems.
