“Indian Institute of Management Calcutta first time Interactive Onsite outside India”
eSquareworld Academia, part of eSquareworld, Dubai-Knowledge Village based education provider and HughesNet Global Education, a division of Hughes Communications India Ltd. a leading provider of broadband satellite networks and services , today announced that they have joined hands to set up the first ‘Interactive Onsite Learning ’ centre at Dubai Knowledge Village.
The centre will be operational from November 1, 2007 and will initially offer courses from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC), a Premier Indian Management School which was established as the first national institute for Post-Graduate studies and Research in Management by the Government of India in November 1961.Today the institute has evolved into an autonomous body, that is continually evolving to provide contemporary education in an ever-changing business environment.
The courses currently being offered from IIM Calcutta are,
• Executive Program on Leadership for Young Manager
• Executive Program in Sales and Marketing
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Sushil Khanna, Chairman, CMDP (Chairman – Consultancy and Management Development Programs), Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta said, “We are glad that our courses can now be availed outside India. UAE is the first country we have launched this program in through IOL platform of Hughes. We are confident that these programmes will be well-accepted and will prompt us to launch several other such courses in future.”
Designed by management experts and acclaimed by the industry, these courses have been thoughtfully designed with structured online modules ensuring flexibility for the students and cutting-edge curriculum and certifications from some of the best institutes in India. The students will be able to interact with the instructor in real time using a high end multimedia personal computer that is used at all the HughesNet Global Education centres. Till date morethan 3600 students have already benefited from the various p[rograms conducted by IIM Calcutta through IOL platform.
