As a global player in the park and garden maintenance market, Etesia has developed a complete line of environment-friendly equipment. Grouped under the BioConcept brand, these machines are both efficient and ecological. So come and discover the “green” lawnmowers and slash cutters designed by Etesia on the France pavilion at the World Future Environment Exhibition!
Innovative and creative, Etesia offers several exclusive lawnmower models combining first-class mowing and respect for the environment. The 100% electric, ride-on lawnmower with integrated collector, is actually a world première, a technological showcase and precursor of tomorrow’s line. Ecological, silent and inexpensive, the machine’s mowing and collection efficiency matches that of the heat engine model. Compared with the machines now on the market, it generates no polluting emissions; it is twice as quiet when mowing, and its running and maintenance cost is really low (under €0.50 per hour).
The first gas-powered ride-on lawnmower is yet another machine exclusively sold by Etesia. Made in partnership with Total Gaz, it offers several advantages:
- a mowing range that doubles or triples depending on conditions: tall, damp grass, etc.;
- an operating cost-per-hour that is 40% lower on average than that of a petrol lawnmower;
- a combustion system that reduces polluting emissions (-25% hydrocarbons, -21% CO2).
This is not Etesia’s first exclusivity in this area; in 2007, the company started marketing an organic version of its entire line of ride-on diesel-engine machines. This organic line runs on green B30 fuel (30% ester from biomass and 70% diesel oil) and biodegradable oils and greases. Etesia then went on to develop bio-carburizing, which consists in starting up the machine, lawnmower or collector unit on diesel oil before shifting to run on Pure Vegetable Oil (PVO). The outcome of the bio-fuels venture earned Etesia further exclusivity, with the production of the first ride-on lawnmower to run solely on PVO, in association with the city of Lyon and with the support of the new rural energies excellence centre (PEREN).
Etesia’s vision of this market’s future is that ecology and the economy will finally fall into step together. This wish is taking shape, thanks to new green engines and the flexibility of its line, which allows users to apply different mowing techniques. The machines designed by Etesia are exported to over 40 countries and have become a benchmark, both in France and abroad.
