Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is continuing its drive towards ensuring that Guests flying with the world’s leading new airline receive the highest levels of hospitality, safety and comfort in the air.

In line with Etihad’s extensive staff training programmes, 14 new cabin managers have successfully passed the airline’s latest comprehensive training programme in Abu Dhabi.

The role of the Etihad cabin manager is extremely busy and has a diverse array of responsibilities ranging from applying safety procedures, checking equipment and managing cabin crew, to making sure there are enough meals on board the aircraft.

“This graduation ceremony celebrates the success of our new cabin crew managers who have undertaken Etihad’s detailed and challenging aviation training programme. It demonstrates our commitment to investing in our staff, and to providing excellent onboard service to our Guests,” said Isa Fairooz Ali, Head of In-flight and Ground Services, Etihad Airways.

The key focus areas on the course were leadership, safety training, security, aviation health, flight duty regulations, Guest services, flight safety, and service training.

The graduation ceremony took place at Abu Dhabi’s Al Ghazal Golf Club, where the successful graduates were presented with certificates and new Etihad name and job title badges.

“The aim of the course was to ensure outstanding customer service is delivered in all conditions. At its most fundamental level, cabin managers are responsible for Guest safety and service delivery in the cabin, which means that all Etihad Guests step off the aircraft having had a relaxing and enjoyable flight,” said Khaled Hatter, a successful graduate on the Etihad cabin manager programme.
