Etihad Airways will showcase its new aircraft, expanded summer flying programme and rapidly developing global network at the premier ITB Berlin travel trade exhibition between March 7-11.

HE Doctor Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saif Al Nahyan, chairman of Etihad Airways, said :  “Etihad Airways is an integral part of Abu Dhabi’s plan to promote the capital as a business and tourism destination.”

The UAE’s national airline launches three flights a week services to Sydney on 26 March, which go daily in June, and starts flights to Dublin in August and Milan in September.
Etihad’s summer flying programme will be also boosted with an additional 40 weekly flights to the Indian Sub Continent, Middle East, Europe, Far East and Africa, raising its total flights to 258 a week.
Four new three-class Airbus A330 jets and two new three-class Airbus A340-600 aircraft will join the airline’s growing fleet this summer to transport the anticipated four million guests – three million more than last year.
Geert W. Boven, executive vice president of Etihad Airways, said: “ITB is the exhibition where the whole travel industry meets, so it’s the perfect forum for promoting Etihad’s new services, our travel trade partners are vital to our ongoing success and we look forward to reacquainting ourselves with established contacts and making new ones.”
With 10,000 exhibitors from 180 countries and regions, ITB represents the full spectrum of global tourism, uniting tour operators, airlines, hotels, tourist boards and car rental companies.
The Etihad stand will also be pivotal in promoting Abu Dhabi, which is investing $136 billion in the next nine years as it aims to become a premier business and leisure destination.  Investment in tourism projects alone in the next 10 years is expected to be worth $11 billion.
