Etisalat has announced that it had concluded a project with Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) to implement a hosting solution at Etisalat’s data center facility at Al Ain. The entire project, inclusive of commissioning of the communication links, business critical systems and infrastructure set-up was completed within a span of four weeks.

Etisalat‘s state of the art infrastructure and network connectivity alternatives were major factors for DIB to select Etisalat for this project. The implementation of this significant initiative by DIB is now helping the bank to connect all 61 branches across the UAE on Etisalat’s private MPLS network back-bone to ensure high availability and data protection.
According to Nadeem Busheri, Senior Vice President, Head of Information Technology, Dubai Islamic Bank, “After evaluating various service providers, we have selected Etisalat as our partner to host our secondary data center and this would help DIB to ensure business continuity, high service availability, and protection against any service disruption.”
“The implementation of this project by Etisalat is testimony to our superior value proposition which presented DIB with a cost effective solution and optimum ROI to meet its stringent requirements,” said Abdulla Hashim, Sr.VP, Business Solutions, Etisalat . “This is further proof of the success of our strategy to offer customers a worthwhile outsourcing alternative to empower them with greater flexibility and reduced operational constraints so that they can focus on their core business.”

Etisalat currently offers customers commercial hosting capacity of upto 50,000 sq feet across 8 data centres to host their IT infrastructure in a secure, reliable, highly available, and scalable environment at cost effective price points. The  services at these data centres are monitored by qualified staff on a 24x7x365 basis. These data centres are connected with high speed fibre connectivity across the UAE and highly available international links through Etisalat’s redundant international fibre network and EMIX(Emirates Internet Exchange).
