Customers can now be at ease with Etisalat's new Mobile Back-up service that gives them the comfort of safeguarding their mobile data and conveniently retrieving it in case of theft, accidental loss or damage to their mobile phones. The new service allows customers to protect their personal data on their mobile devices, such as Contacts, Calendars, Messages, Photos, Videos, Music and Ringtones.
Mobile Back-up simply saves the mobile phone's data in a secure manner to Etisalat's mobile back-up system, enabling customers to restore and re-edit their saved data on their new or existing phones or transfer data between devices anytime that is convenient to them. Moreover, customers can enjoy the extra benefit of the service that lets them lock or wipe out the information on their mobile phones, in case of theft or loss and can re-load it to their new or replaced mobile phones, depending on the compatibility of the mobile handset.
The service enables customers to access all their mobile data through a secure Internet website. Customers also have the flexibility to opt for an auto back-up of their data, in regular intervals. Moreover, customers can wipe out data or lock their mobile phones remotely, in case of theft or loss. This renders the mobile phone useless in case of theft or loss. Customers can also simply delete their personal information stored on the mobile phone, thereby helping them protect the privacy of their data.

Overall, this service reflects Etisalat's commitment to provide its customers with innovative and reliable solutions each and every time."
Customers can subscribe to the service by simply sending an SMS "r backup" to 1010, by calling 125. They can also subscribe by visiting their nearest Etisalat Business Center or outlet. The service will be charged at AED10 per month, without any additional fee for uploading data, unless done from outside the UAE.
Customers subscribing to the service will receive a link to download the service client for free on to their mobile devices, along with a unique user id and password. Upon installation, the phone is ready to back up and restore data and customers can start using the service instantly from the "MyBackup" client.
