Two American journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling on Monday were sentenced to serve 12 years in a North Korea labor camp. They were arrested for illegal entry into the isolated country, spying and "hostile acts", according to media reports. Euna Lee and Laura Ling had been in the country since March, reporting for Current TV, a California-based station. The U.S. State Department has already called upon the North Korean government for their immediate release.
North Korea labor camps are known for their harsh torture acts and ill-treatment.
